We built the Ceramic Lamp Holder SK15 for one very specific moment: right after the glass is printed, when it needs to be tempered without wrecking what you just put on it. Here’s the tricky part—you’ve got to hit the glass with heat hard enough to make it strong, but steady enough to keep the printed design crisp. The SK15 isn’t just holding the lamp. It’s the anchor that keeps the whole heating setup stable, mechanically and thermally.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Kept Simple
The SK15 is designed to run high-power infrared lamps, usually around 2500W and 400V. That voltage rating is intentional: it lets the system plug straight into industrial power without needing extra step-down transformers. That 400V supply pushes serious current through the lamp, and that’s what gives you the intense, focused heat you need for fast glass tempering. And the size? The lamp assembly is typically about 300mm long—matched to the specific zones of the tempering line. So the heat lands exactly where it should, and you’re not wasting energy heating the air around it.
Why Ceramic? And Why the SK15 Design Wins
The ceramic body is the reason this holder can survive extreme heat, day after day. It doesn’t warp or break down when it’s heated and cooled over and over—unlike metal fixtures. Ceramic also gives you strong electrical insulation, which matters because you want the people running the line to stay safe. Then there’s the SK15 connector itself. It’s built for a solid, low-resistance electrical connection, so it can carry high current without the joint getting hot. It’s tough, industrial-grade, and made to be swapped quickly when needed—because in a 24/7 production environment, downtime is the enemy.
The Real Problem It Solves: Heat Without Ruining the Print
In the integrated process, the infrared lamp heats the glass surface fast and evenly. That rapid heating is key to building the right internal stress—while keeping the printed ink underneath from distorting. The SK15 keeps the lamp locked in place, maintaining that critical distance so heat transfer stays consistent. But there’s a trade-off: a 2500W lamp creates a lot of localized heat, so your machine’s cooling has to be up to the task. When the cooling and the lamp setup are balanced, the SK15 gives you the stable process you need for high yield.
