The Trade-offs
Here is the honest truth: these things are powerful. When you flip the switch, the heat is instant. It’s fast. Really fast. But because they’re so intense, you can’t just slap them anywhere. If you mount them too low or pick a wattage that’s too high for a tiny room, you’ll end up with “hot spots” that feel like a heat lamp at a buffet. You’ve got to match the wattage to the actual size of your room to get it just right. We build these to survive the steam and splash of a shower zone. The quartz envelopes are sealed tight so moisture can’t get in and fry the filament. Just wire it into a moisture-rated circuit, and you’re good to go.
